This little app will take a 2x35 px PNG image and extract the hex color codes for the iTunes LCD EQ. You can then insert them into the iTunes application file with a hex editor like Hex Fiend

The left column of the image must contain the LCD background part, while the right column will be used for the EQ stripes. You can see a 5 times magnified example image on the right.

Select your LCD image file:

Warning! This script is only recommended for experienced users and the instructions are outdated and invalid! The resulting Hex color string might still work in current iTunes versions, but has not been tested!
